An active medical staff member of the Emergency Department of the Department of Medicine, Dr. Baltazar has been practising at the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) since 2003.
Having earned her medical degree in 2000 from Université de Montréal, she received her specialty certification in family medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2002. She then completed a year of complementary training in emergency medicine.
At the hospital, she is a member of the Emergency Department's #Morbidity and Mortality Committee#. She is also an ACLS instructor and gives workshops during advanced resuscitation training sessions organized for MHI staff members. She is highly interested in health sciences education, which has prompted her to regularly update her training in this area so that she can become more involved with students taking a rotation at the MHI Emergency Department.
