Mission
The Surgery Follow-Up Clinic monitors postoperative clients with specific clinical conditions who need to see the treating team within a short time frame after being discharged from the surgery unit. The main reasons for referrals are:
- Pleural effusion
- Pericardial effusion
- Electrolyte disturbances
- Kidney function monitoring
- Optimization of blood pressure medication for particular surgeries
This clinic provides on-going management of a specific problem before patients are referred back to their treating physicians.
